Haaland had been out of sorts in recent weeks, enduring something of a poor spell in front of goal by his standards.

The Man City striker failed to score in each of the club's last three games across competitions before his scorching finish against Brighton.

Haaland's goal took him to 9 goals and 2 assists in 12 appearances, elite numbers despite his somewhat slow start to the season.

Despite the fine performance, Norwegian sports channel TV2 chose to focus on Haaland's bust-up with Brighton defender Paul van Hecke, posting the image on their social media.

Haaland calls media clowns

A clearly furious Haaland responded: (Via Tribal football)

"What argument? Better write about the fact that I finally ended the goal drought of all time. Clowns."

Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will hope that Haaland's scoring boots have returned with a crucial run of games ahead.
