That result marked their fourth win in their last six league games, moving them to within a single point of Chelsea in the league standings. 

The Toffees' success has been built on a solid defence over the past year, contributing to four wins in their last five outings, all of which featured a clean sheet.

The head-to-head record in the Premier League is dominated by Chelsea, who have secured two wins compared to Everton’s one win and two draws between them in their last five meetings.

The Blues have also not lost at home to the Toffees in their last five meetings, securing three wins and two draws, showing their dominance.

Their last encounter ended in a narrow 1-0 victory over Everton in 2025 and they played a goalless draw in their second encounter.

Chelsea will once again be without multiple key players, who are sidelined with injury. Liam Delap is sidelined through injurywhile Levi Colwill remains unavailable as he recovers from an ACL. 

Dario Essugo is also out injured and Romeo Lavia continues his recovery. To add to their concerns, Moisés Caicedo is suspended after his red card against Arsenal and still has one more game to miss.

Also, Wesley Fofana is a doubt after being forced off in midweek after collecting a boot to his face during the Atalanta game.

Everton also face a few notable absences, but does not have any recent injuries in the team. Jarrad Branthwaite is ruled out with an injury. 

Seamus Coleman remains unavailable due to a hamstring injury, while Merlin Röhl is also sidelined with a groin and is still trying to get fit for the second half of the season.
