US President Donald Trump's unusual decision to remain on the podium during the trophy presentation, as reported by Abola.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who was alongside Trump for the ceremony, tried to persuade the American president to leave the podium with him, but to no avail. Infantino eventually returned and gently guided Trump towards the back, allowing the players to celebrate freely.

The players themselves were confused, as Reece James and Cole Palmer later admitted, with the latter expressing his disbelief quite openly.

Contrary to some reports, the profile picture on the team's official X (formerly Twitter) page, also pinned at the top, has not been altered to remove Trump. The club chose an image where Trump is further back, visible behind Pedro Neto.

Similarly, on the official website, the club opted for photos taken after the trophy presentation, with manager Enzo Maresca in the foreground, for example.
