Sanchez lost his starting spot to Jason Steele in March and was not selected for Brighton's preseason tour of the United States due to his uncertain future.

The 25-year-old made 23 appearances in the Premier League last season before being dropped from the starting lineup by the manager.

At the time, Robert De Zerbi said that Steele seemed better suited to his preferred method of playing out from the back.
