Check out the Draft selections for the Rising Stars Challenge

The Draft selection for the NBA Rising Stars Challenge was held on Tuesday, February 8, 2023.

Ahead of the Rising Stars Challenge at the NBA All-Star weekend, the coaches of the teams selected from a pool of 21 players.

The selected players are NBA rookies in their first year and sophomores in their second year that have impressed this season.

The Rising Stars' honorary coaches for the draft were former All-Stars Pau Gasol, Deron Williams, and Joakim Noah.

Former Lakers great Gasol had the first pick and selected Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero.

There were seven rounds from the Draft as the coaches selected a team of seven each.

The fourth team will be led by Jason Terry a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year and 2011 NBA champion now a current Utah Jazz assistant coach.

There will be three games played at the Rising Stars challenge starting with the semifinals involving all four teams with a set final target score of 40

The two teams that win advance to the final with a final target score of 25 to determine the Rising Stars tournament champion.

All three games will be played at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City on Friday, February 17, 2023.
