The 24-year-old midfielder signed for the Belgian side in the summer of 2022 for €9.5 million and has been one of the standout players in the division. He has also shown his quality in the Champions League, placing him on the radar of a number of clubs.

Frankfurt’s interest

According to German outlet BILD, as related by Voetbelgie, Die Adler are one such club interested in Onyedika and have him on a list of three midfielders they have their sights set on.

Brugge are reportedly demanding €20 million for Onyedika, the same valuation published by Transfermarkt. The Belgian side are expected to insist on that price, as Midtjylland, Onyedika’s first European club, are entitled to 20% of any profit from a sale above €9.5 million.

Meanwhile, Onyedika is currently sidelined after sustaining a hamstring injury during Club Brugge’s dramatic 5-5 draw against Westerlo on Wednesday night. The injury has kept him out of Super Eagles action this international break, and he is not involved in the World Cup qualifier games against Lesotho and the Benin Republic.
