Bendel Insurance's Imade Oserenkhoe shares special moment with his ex-coach
Bendel Insurance in-form forward Imade Oserenkhoe received a special guest during the week nine encounter against Enyimba International.
Oserenkhoe has shared on his official social media account the emotional moment between his former coach, Idahosa, at the University of Benin, Uniben.
Coach Idahosa, as he is fondly called, was one of those at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium to watch and cheer on the talented striker to victory over Enyimba in the NPFL.
“My Uniben coach came to watch his son doing it as he was taught,” Oserenkhoe said in a tweet.
“Thank you sir for the impact and words of encouragement,” he added.
Oserenkhoe scores again for Insurance
With his ex-mentor watching in the stands, the 22-year-old put on a show to inspire the Benin Arsenal to a narrow win over the People’s Elephant.
He scored the decisive winner as Insurance defeated Enyimba 1-0 to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2023 abridged season in the NPFL.
The goal was the latest for Oserenkhoe in the league, taking his tally to six in nine matches for Insurance in the football league.
Oserenkhoe, who would love to play for his favourite club, Arsenal after he conquers the NPFL, and his goals have proved invaluable to Bendel Insurance so far this season.
His six goals have seen Insurance take charge of Group A after seven wins and two draws in nine matches.
They are comfortable at the top of the table with 23 points, seven points above closest challengers, Enyimba, who were the latest victims.
