Be like England - Tuchel cries out to Germany after on loan player inspired Leverkusen defeat
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has suggested a rule change in the Bundesliga after watching Josip Stanisic score against his parent club.
Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Tuchel was helpless as he watched his defending champions suffer an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Leverkusen, with loanee Stanisic part of the carnage on Saturday night.
Tuchel reacts to Leverkusen defeat
Stanisic opened the scoring in Leverkusen's stunning Bundesliga win over Bayern to extend the lead at the top to five points for Xabi Alonso’s men.
The Croatian right-back is spending the season on loan with Leverkusen from the perennial German champions and his goal against his own team clearly irked coach Tuchel.
Speaking after painful defeat, Tuchel pointed to player loan regulations in England that prevent stars from facing their mother clubs.
"In England, there's a nice rule where when you loan a player out, they can't play against you," Tuchel said according to a post by Fabrizio Romano.
"For me that makes more sense,” he added. The rule unfortunately doesn't exist in Germany."
The 23-year-old versatile player worked his way through the ranks before he joined the first team from Bayern II in 2019.
He made 23 appearances for the Bavarian giants last season but was allowed to leave on loan for 2023-24.
And Stanisic took full advantage with a superb strike to open the scoring in the shock win against Bayern.

Alejandro Grimaldo, assisted by Nathan Tella, and Jeremie Frimpong, who replaced Tella, also scored as Leverkusen extended their unbeaten run to 31 matches.
