Barcelona yet to register new signing Dani Olmo, four others with LaLiga starting in three days

With LaLiga set to kick off in just three days, Barcelona faces a significant challenge as they have yet to register several key players, including their new €62m signing Dani Olmo, and could be forced to start the 2024/25 season without some crucial members of the squad.

Earlier this week, Barcelona verified that Eric Garcia, Clement Lenglet, and Ansu Fati had registered, guaranteeing their participation in Saturday's LaLiga match against Valencia. However, the club has yet to register five other players, as their recent financial woes continue to dog them.

Dani Olmo, the club’s marquee summer signing of the summer, headlines the list of unregistered players in danger of missing the Friday cut-off for the first matchday of the 2024-25 season.

Alongside Olmo, other first-team hopefuls, Inigo Martinez, Alex Valle, Pablo Torre, and Pau Victor are also awaiting registration.

The delay in player registration is reportedly due to the ongoing financial difficulties that have plagued Barcelona in recent years.

The club’s struggles to balance their books have become a recurring issue and have hampered their ability to fight for top global talents and register new signings whenever they become available.
