LaLiga leaders Barcelona have joined a list of clubs interested in signing one of the hottest youngsters in European football, Gift Orban

Orban’s profile has been on the rise since he moved to the Belgian top flight in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old joined Gent from Norwegian side Stabaek Football on a five-year deal worth €3.30m. 

Since his arrival, Orban has been a sensation for Gent both in the UEFA Europa Conference League and the Belgian League.

The Nigerian youngster has scored 14 goals and set up another two in 15 games since he joined The Buffalos. 

Orban has five goals in six UECL games this season and nine goals in nine league matches in the Belgian top flight. 

His impressive form since his arrival has caught the attention of Europe's top clubs, with Barcelona among them. 

Barcelona monitoring Orban

According to Turkish transfer market expert Ekrem KONUR, Barcelona have sent scouts to watch Orban multiple times this season.

The Spanish giants are looking to boost their attacking department this summer and are monitoring Orban as a potential fit. 

However, Barcelona are not the only side interested in signing Orban, with Porto and Benfica also interested in his services. 

Gent are unlikely to sell, though, as Orban only joined the club in January. The 20-year-old is still in the early phase of his four-year contract with the Belgian club.

However, a monumental offer from one of his suitors could convince Gent to sell their prized youngster this summer.
