Barcelona monopolised possession from the outset, but Oviedo’s deep defensive block frustrated the hosts in a cagey first half.

Lewandowski and Raphinha both tested goalkeeper Aarón Escandell early on, while Dani Olmo flashed a low drive narrowly wide. Oviedo threatened sporadically on the counter, with Ilyas Chaira forcing Joan García into a sharp save in the 32nd minute, but the sides went into the break goalless after a scrappy opening 45 minutes.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 52nd minute. A slick passing move down the right saw Dani Olmo arrive unmarked to steer a composed right-footed finish beyond Escandell to make it 1–0.

Five minutes later, Barcelona doubled their lead as Raphinha pressed the Oviedo backline into an error before lobbing the goalkeeper to double the lead.

Oviedo attempted to respond with a brief spell of pressure, but Barcelona retained control, and the contest was effectively sealed in the 73rd minute. Lamine Yamal lifted off the ground and executed an acrobatic kick, capping another outstanding display from the teenage sensation.

Barcelona continued to probe for a fourth, with Lewandowski denied by Escandell and substitute Fermín López firing just wide, while Oviedo’s late efforts were comfortably handled as the hosts closed out a routine victory.

Barcelona’s commanding win keeps them firmly in the LaLiga title hunt, restoring confidence after recent setbacks, while Real Oviedo remain entrenched in the relegation zone, facing a mounting battle for survival as the season enters its decisive phase.
