Barcelona suffer another injury blow ahead of the Real Madrid clash
Barcelona, whose squad is missing significant players, have announced an injury to another one of their best performers this season ahead of the Copa del Rey second-leg clash against Real Madrid.
The Blaugrana have revealed that Andreas Christensen is injured, and his availability will depend on the injury's evolution.
Christensen injured
Barcelona announced via their official channels that Andreas Christensen has sustained an injury to his left calf.
According to the club, Christensen will be unavailable for selection to Xavi Hernandez, and his recovery will determine his return date.
The Dane picked up the injury in action for Denmark over the international break, and after tests were carried out, it was confirmed that he hurt his calf.
Christensen hobbled off the pitch after only 18 minutes in Denmark's 3-1 Euro qualifier victory over Finland, feeling discomfort in his left leg, and was replaced by Galatasaray's Victor Nelsson.

Barcelona's injury problems
As we reported in detail here, Pedri has been ruled out of the El Clasico second leg against Real Madrid on April 5 after suffering a setback in his injury recovery.
Ousmane Dembele, who was also slated to return for the game, could also be ruled out, with his involvement in doubt, after his recovery has not progressed as anticipated.
Barcelona will take solace in their 1-0 first-leg advantage and their healthy record this season against Real Madrid. The match will be played at Camp Nou; however, a Christensen absence could see the tie turned on its head.
