Pedri and Dembele have suffered injury setbacks, and their participation in the El Clasico in February is unlikely.

Barcelona have had to navigate the last few weeks without two of their best players, Pedri and Dembele, but they hoped to have them back in action after the international break and ready to face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.

However, the injuries of both players have not healed at the anticipated pace, and they are now both set to miss the big cup clash against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

Pedri out of El Clasico

Toni Juanmarti, a reporter for the Spanish publication Relevo, reports that Pedri has been ruled out of taking part in the El Clasico as he has suffered an injury setback.

The 20-year-old suffered a muscle injury in mid-February and has since missed seven games for Barcelona.

He was projected to be back in time for the Clasico second leg against Real Madrid on April 5, but he has not been ruled out, as he has suffered a setback in his recovery.

Dembele a doubt for El Clasico

Ousmane Dembele, who hurt himself before Pedri and was scheduled for an earlier return that put him in line to face Real Madrid at Camp Nou in February.

Dembele's participation in the game is now in doubt, as although he has not been ruled out like Pedri, his participation is unlikely.

The 25-year-old who is in contract talks with the club suffered a hamstring injury at the end of January and has missed 11 games for Barcelona since his injury. It is expected to take an exceptional turnaround in his recovery speed for him to be ready for the Real Madrid game.
