Barcelona star breaks Lionel Messi record during Osasuna triumph

Barcelona midfielder Pedri etched his name into the club’s history books on Saturday night as the Blaugrana secured a 2–0 La Liga victory over Osasuna.

The win not only strengthened Barça’s position at the top of the table but also marked a landmark personal achievement for the Spanish international.

Pedri was named in Hansi Flick’s starting XI and deployed at the base of Barcelona’s midfield as the hosts looked to assert control against a stubborn Osasuna side.

By taking to the pitch, the 23-year-old reached a significant milestone, becoming the youngest player ever to make 150 La Liga appearances for Barcelona.

While Pedri made history, Raphinha proved decisive on the night. Barcelona dominated possession in a cagey first half but found Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera in inspired form, producing several saves to keep the score level at the break.

The breakthrough arrived in the 70th minute when Pedri threaded a precise pass into Raphinha’s path, and the Brazilian calmly slotted into the bottom corner.

Barcelona pushed on, and in the 86th minute Raphinha struck again, volleying home from close range after a deflected cross.

His brace secured a 2–0 win and capped a memorable evening at Camp Nou, which saw collective success mix with individual history.
