From the Premier League to the Super Lig, our boys returned to their clubs and immediately chose to burst nets across the board.
With records tumbling and drought-breaking strikes, the race for this week’s Naija Stars Abroad’s Baller of the Week crown is the tightest it’s been all season.
But here are the heavyweights who made the shortlist.
The Comeback King: Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest)
For 384 days, Taiwo Awoniyi lived in the shadow of injury and frustration. But on Sunday, he reminded the Premier League why he is feared.
Coming off the bench against Brentford, he embarked on a solo run that left Sepp van den Berg and Michale Kayode for dead before slotting home with the composure of a seasoned assassin.
An emotional moment for the Super Eagles forward, ending a year-long drought with a world-class goal is the definition of a proper baller.

The Record-Breaker: Akor Adams (Sevilla)
Akor Adams isn't just scoring; he’s rewriting history books. By netting the winner against Athletic Club, he secured Sevilla’s first win in five games and officially surpassed the legendary Rashidi Yekini in the La Liga all-time Nigerian scorers list.
Historical display for the AFCON 2025 star. To take down a record held by a cult hero like Yekini while keeping Sevilla afloat makes him a ‘Crown Prince’ in Spain.

The Magician: Samuel Chukwueze (Fulham)
Chukwu Magic returned to West London in style. His Thierry Henry-esque equaliser against Brighton sparked a massive comeback for Fulham.
He promised to cook after AFCON, and he’s certainly served up the heat by walking his talk for the Cottagers.
Electrifying. When Chukwueze is in this mood, no left-back is safe.
Pinpoint. 🎯

The Giant: Paul Onuachu (Trabzonspor)
The "Tower of Power" was also on target in Turkey, continuing his goal-scoring rhythm and ensuring Trabzonspor stays in the hunt for European spots.
Consistent striker, continuing from where he stopped before AFCOn 2025. A reminder that Nigeria has more than one clinical giant in the Süper Lig.
And the Baller of the Week is... Victor Osimhen!
It had to be him. While everyone was exceptional, Victor Osimhen reached a level of greatness this weekend that simply cannot be ignored.
In Galatasaray’s 3-1 win over Fatih Karagumruk, Osimhen scored his 50th goal for the club. The statistics behind this are staggering: he reached the milestone in just 59 games, becoming the fastest player this century to do so for the Turkish giants.
By hitting 50 goals ten games faster than the club’s current captain Mauro Icardi, Osimhen has cemented his status as an Istanbul legend.
To achieve this historic feat immediately after the emotional toll of an AFCON tournament shows a level of elite mentality that belongs at the very top.
Victor Osimhen is our Baller of the Week!
But do you agree with the King reclaiming his throne, or should the "Crown Prince" Akor Adams have taken it for his La Liga record?
