The track queens who last competed in the women's 400m final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships, where they respectively settled for silver and bronze medals behind the historic performance of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, will battle it out one last time this season in New York.

Going into the meet as the top two challengers for the winning prize money of $60,000, Paulino and Naser will hope they can replicate the same historic performance in Tokyo that saw them record their names on the podium in the fastest 400m race in world championships history.

McLaughlin-Levrone astonishingly won the world title in a jaw-dropping 47.78s (the second fastest time in history), as Paulino came in second in a blistering 47.98s (third fastest time ever), while Naser was third in 48.19s.

This time, both runners in the absence of the world champion will gun for one last bragging right this year to cap off an outstanding season.

However, they will face stiff competition in Tokyo finalists Amber Anning and Henriette Jaeger, who respectively have personal best times of 49.29s and 49.49s this season.
