Athletic Bilbao face potential punishment from LaLiga after their supporters directed an offensive chant towards Getafe's Mason Greenwood.

Mason Greenwood was subjected to chants of 'Greenwood die' from Bilbao fans in the 2-2 draw with Getafe at San Mames.

Greenwood who is on loan from Manchester United made his first start for Getafe and provided an assist, all while being jeered by the San Mames crowd.

La Liga have already opened an investigation of Osasuna after their fans also chanted “Greenwood die” during the 21-year-old’s debut two weeks ago.

According to Mirror Football, Should any of the clubs be found guilty, they will likely receive harsh sanctions that may include a partial stadium closure and a heavy fine.
