Oshoala who has been the best player for the Super Falcons was among the players to look out for at the ongoing Women’s World Cup.
However, during the game against Canada, Asisat Oshoala gave a below-par performance which limited their chances.

1. Isolated in attack
The Nigerian superstar had a bad game against Canada and was left alone in attack during the game.
She struggled to impose herself and was not given any chance to utilise the ball and her teammates were not helping out.
Oshoala was left alone to do all the work in attack without a backup from her teammates which led to a disappointing performance.
2. Poor positioning
Aside from being isolated in attack, another issue Oshoala had during the game was her wrong positioning.
Oshoala was mostly switching to the flanks and was not seen in the top nine position which kept her away from goal.
The Super Falcons striker did not get any shot on target and had two shots off target and one big chance missed.
3. No physical presence
Asisat Oshoala is mostly known for her physicality and strength based on her height and ability to bully defenders.
The Nigerian striker could not use any of her physical strength during the game and was mostly bullied by the Canadian defenders.
The Barcelona striker found it had to get past the Canadian defenders and could not cause havoc or test their goalkeeper.
