Arsenal vs Man United: Roy Keane roasts Walcott after claims Gunners are bigger than Red Devils
Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has been termed ‘naive’ after he claimed that his former club are bigger than Manchester United.
Walcott was called that by Manchester United legend Roy Keane just before the Super Sunday clash between the teams at the Emirates.
Keane and Walcott are on duty with Sky Sports as the Gunners and Red Devils prepare for their Premier League clash.
Arsenal vs Man United
It is the return of the old rivalry as Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates.
The home side is looking to bounce back to winning ways after an entertaining 2-2 draw the last time against Fulham.
Mikel Arteta and his Gunners will look to give their fans something to celebrate heading into the international break.
However, they face a United side who needed a late penalty the last time to see off Nottingham Forest in a five-goal thriller.
The Red Devils are looking to consolidate on that important win against the home side.
However, Erik Ten Hag is aware that it will take something special to take all three points at the Emirates, with his Reds falling 3-2 on their last visit.
Arsenal bigger than United
Just before the game, both Walcott and Keane were asked who the bigger club is between the two.
Walcott, who spent 12 years with the Gunners noted that his former employers are the bigger team at the moment which drew an interesting reply from Keane.
“It’s a simple question,” Walcott said in a video shared by Sky Sports. “If Arsenal finished ahead of United, for me I will have to say them (Arsenal).”
“I feel they are a bit more organised, especially behind the scenes,” he added.
In his reply, Keane had the perfect reply for the former Gunners.
“So, naive and young,” Keane said. “So naive and young.”
