Arsenal lose Premier League title to Manchester City

Still, they capitulated in the run-in to hand Manchester City the title at the tail end of the season.

A 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in the penultimate game of the season, thanks to a goal from Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi, condemned Arsenal to another trophyless season.
The loss also confirmed Manchester City as champions of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, leaving the Gunners with an awful record.
Arsenal fall to record low after failing to win Premier League
Arsenal’s failure to lift the league title after their lengthy run at the top of the Premier League table left them with one of the worst records in the league’s history.

With 248 days at the top of the Premier League table this season, Arsenal became the team with the most days at the zenith of the league who eventually failed to lift the title at the end of the season.
No other side in Premier League history who were top of the Premier League season for that long failed to win the league eventually before Arsenal, putting an underscore on the poor title run-in that the Gunners had.
