Arsenal have been linked to a host of midfielders heading into the summer as it is clear Mikel Arteta wants to increase the quality in that position.
Brighton's Mac Allister is a target for Arsenal
According to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, Arteta will push for more midfield quality this summer and Brighton’s talented Argentine World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister is a strong target.
Mac Allister is sure to have his pick of clubs if he were to secure a move away from Brighton but it is believed the Seagulls will try their hardest to keep him.
MacAllister has been in magnificent form for Brighton this season, contributing an impressive nine goals and two assists from midfield.
Brighton will fight to keep Mac Allister
The report also adds that one major reason for Brighton’s reluctance to sell is the fact that he only signed his new deal earlier in the season.
The 24-year-old also made six appearances at the Qatar World Cup, including a 116-minute showing in the competition’s final, where his Argentina side beat France on penalties.
Mac Allister has proven he is ready to take the next step in his career, and Brighton will have a fight on their hands to keep him.
