Arsenal enter race to sign Villarreal's Chukwueze
Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze could be set to spark a bidding war between Premier League side Arsenal and Serie A giants AC Milan in the summer, while also holding reported interest from Real Madrid.
Chukwueze attracting major interest
Chukwueze had the best season of his career in the 2022/23 campaign scoring 13 goals and assisting 11 more in 51 appearances in all competitions for the Yellow Submarine, and has unsurprisingly been attracting interest from some top European teams ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Nigerian winger has been linked with a possible summer transfer to Real Madrid, AC Milan, and now Arsenal, who are believed to have started making official inquiries about signing the 24-year-old forward.
Arsenal in talks for Chukwueze
The Gunners were unable to afford winger Bukayo Saka any rest last season as the deficiencies in the team did not allow a direct replacement, hence Arsenal’s interest in signing a right winger in the coming window.
Chukwueze who has only one year left on his current Villarreal deal could be a great cut-price option for the Premier League runners up as he could be made available for just €25m.
Despite Chukwueze’s agent reportedly having a sit down with AC Milan to discuss the terms of a possible transfer, Arsenal have decided to ask about the winger’s availability, believing that they can tempt the Nigerian into leaving LaLiga.
