The former Liverpool player marked his inaugural victory in the white of Real Madrid, playing an important role in the club's hard-fought 3-1 Club World Cup triumph over Mexican side Pachuca.

The English international, whose controversial transfer from Liverpool was finalised on May 30, took to Instagram to share his delight with fans, simply stating: "First win in white! Hala Madrid."

Alexander-Arnold's debut against Al-Hilal last week had been a subdued affair, but the 26-year-old showcased his defensive acumen against Pachuca, a performance that proved vital after Real Madrid were reduced to ten men early in the game following Raul Asensio's seventh-minute red card.

Despite not registering a goal contribution or a clean sheet, Alexander-Arnold's defensive prowess was clearly on display as Los Blancos navigated the challenging circumstances to secure their first Club World Cup win.

The victory sets the stage for Real Madrid's next critical encounter in the tournament, where they will face RB Salzburg.
