Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim said that he would convince Bruno Fernandes to stay at the club by showing him an improvement in the process during his address to the rumours linking the midfielder to Saudi Arabia.

Bruno and Al Hilal

As Pulse Sports reported, Saudi club Al Hilal aim to make Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes their record signing, but time is of the essence after giving him an ultimatum.

Al Hilal has offered the Portuguese midfielder a three-year contract worth €700,000 a week, totalling €77 million annually and have demanded a swift decision.

To persuade Manchester United, the Saudis are reportedly offering around €120 million for their captain, arguably the only player whose value hasn't diminished after a dismal season.

What Amorim said

During the pre-match press conference of their final league game for the season, however, Amorim was asked about the offer on the table from Saudi Arabia for Fernandes, and he said that they would show changes to convince the midfielder to stay.

“It’s important for Bruno to see that we’re changing a lot of things in our club,” he said per Fabrizio.

“The behaviour, everyday organisation, pace of training... and then he’ll want to stay at this club. He loves this club!”
