Following a costly error from Kings, Brentford's Mikkel Damsgaard capitalised to give the visitors a surprise lead.

However, it was Iwobi who brought Fulham back into the game, reacting quickest to a loose ball inside the box to fire home the leveler.

Just before halftime, the 29-year-old showed his playmaking ability with a perfectly weighted pass to Harry Wilson, who slotted the ball past Brentford goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher to give Fulham a 2-1 lead.

An own goal from Ethan Pinnock in the second half sealed the win, moving Fulham up to seventh in the Premier League table.

After being named Man of the Match, Iwobi told the Premier League that he was happy with his personal display but had bigger targets in mind.

"I had my best goal season last season, and hopefully I can do better this year and get into double figures this season," Iwobi said. "Hopefully we can get into a European spot this year."

The victory, secured with tactical precision, highlighted Fulham’s effective preparation, particularly in dealing with Brentford’s notorious long-throw threat.

"We knew Brentford are good at long throws, so we worked on a lot of them in training this week," Iwobi added.
