The hosts raced into a two-goal lead inside the first 10 minutes through an own goal and a spectacular Coman strike, but Al Shabab fought back with two replies before Abdulrahman Ghareeb’s late finish settled the contest, giving Al Nassr their first league win in 2026.

Key Match Details

Al Nassr struck early and with real authority. Just 2 minutes in, a driven João Felix cross forced a defensive error, and Saad Balobaid diverted the ball into his own net to give the hosts an immediate lead.

Six minutes later, Kingsley Coman produced a moment of brilliance, acrobatically connecting with a cross to score with a stunning overhead kick and double the advantage.

Al Shabab weren’t deterred and began to work their way into the contest. In the 31st minute, Al Nassr’s Mohamed Simakan accidentally turned home a low centre, reducing the deficit and giving the visitors hope.

That momentum carried into the second half and, in the 53rd minute, Carlos Junior finished off a well-worked move,  neatly guided through by Yannick Carrasco,  to level the match at 2–2.

The turning point came just after Vincent Sierro was sent off for Al Shabab in the 67th minute, leaving them a man down and opening the door for Al Nassr to regain control.

In the 76th minute, Abdulrahman Ghareeb took advantage of the extra space, firing home from close range after a rebound to make it 3–2. From there, Al Nassr defended resolutely, managing the closing stages to secure all three points.
