African Games: Nigeria wins battle against Ghana as men's 4x100m team strikes GOLD in Accra
Team Nigeria's men's 4x100m relay team comprising Israel Okon, Consider Ekanem, Alaba Akintola, and Usheoritse Itsekiri won the battle against Ghana by striking the Gold medal at the African Games in Accra.
The Nigerian team left it all on the track, knowing fully well that Ghana were the defending champions and had the home support, but Itsekiri - 100m silver medallist, was never to be denied as he held on to the finish line in 38.41s.

Ghana settled for second in 38.43s, while Liberia also ran an outstanding race for a new National Record of 38.73s.
It is Nigeria's first gold medal at the African Games in the event since Maputo 2011.
