AFCON 2025: Super Eagles to earn ₦14B if they win in Morocco

Good news for the Super Eagles of Nigeria as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will receive a record-breaking $10 million approximately to over 14 billion naira in prize money.

The decision was taken during a CAF Executive Committee meeting held in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday.
Increase from the previous edition
The new prize represents a 43% increase from the $7 million awarded to the Ivory Coast, winners of the 2023 AFCON.

It also highlights a remarkable 100% rise over four years, considering that the champions of the 2021 tournament received $5 million.
Breakdown of AFCON 2025 prize money
In addition to the winners’ payout, CAF has also approved increased rewards for other top finishers at the tournament:
