AFCON 2025: It will be hard to beat us — Morocco boss Regragui warns Senegal
Now, Morocco stand just 90 minutes away from their first continental title since 1976.
Speaking at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Regragui acknowledged the quality of the opposition but emphasized the psychological advantage of playing at home.
Morocco boss warns Senegal to expect tough game
“I am very happy to play this final at home, it is every coach’s dream. Now, there is still the most difficult step,” Regragui told reporters.
“Senegal has such a great coach, a superb team, and three AFCON finals in four editions.
"We have an objective to go down in history and make our supporters happy.”
Regragui was particularly pointed about the hostile atmosphere awaiting the Teranga Lions.
“We are a team of winners. Beating us in Morocco is complicated. I want Senegal to feel that this isn't the Stade des Martyrs,” he added, referencing Senegal’s recent away victory in Kinshasa.
“It will take a very strong Senegalese team to beat us at home, but what I know is that it will be a good match for Africa.”
