Lookman was the orchestrator of the Super Eagles' goals against Tunisia, providing two assists and also scoring.

However, the Atalanta star caused a moment of concern when he was brought down by a heavy challenge, raising worries about an injury.

Speaking to the media after the final whistle, the forward provided a reassuring update on his condition.

"Yeah, I am good and fine," he stated. "Pleased with the result, three points, so it's a good win. We are looking forward to the next game."

Lookman also commended the Super Eagles' overall display, highlighting their control for most of the contest.

"The win is definitely important. I think our performance today for 75 minutes was top," he observed. "I don't think they did much during the game; they didn't create much, and that was a bravo to our performance."

With an eye on future matches, Lookman stressed the need to carry the same level of intensity forward. "We take that into the next game and keep on continuing like that," he added.

When questioned if this was his best performance in a Nigerian shirt, the forward remained humble, emphasising his focus on the team's success.

"I don't know, it's up to you guys to decide that. For me, I just try to help the team as much as I can."

Having already secured qualification for the knockout stage, Nigeria currently leads Group C. Lookman and his teammates will now aim to cement their top-place finish when they take on Uganda in their next fixture.
