With Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon and Senegal making it to the quarter-final, two more teams will complete the lineup on Tuesday night and it promises to be a cracking day.

Holders Ivory Coast are among those in action with Algeria also looking for a slot in the last eight.

Algeria vs DR Congo (7pm Kenyan time)

Algeria had a flawless group stage campaign, winning all their group stage games but face a major test against the stubborn Congolese.

This will be the first meeting between Algeria and DR Congo since 2022 when the North Africans won 3-0 in a friendly match.

DR Congo have never beaten Algeria in all their five meetings with the Desert Foxes winning two and three matches ending in draws.

Ivory Coast vs Burkina Faso (10pm Kenyan time)

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast will take on Burkina Faso in a West African classic in the late kickoff with each side keen to secure a quarter-final ticket.

The Ivorians are unbeaten since winning AFCON 2023 but received a scare when a second-string squad was run close by Gabon before late substitutes turned the game around to win 3-2.

Coach Emerse Fae will be hoping for a different scenario against the tough Burkinabe who come into the match after wins against Sudan and Equatorial Guinea as well as a loss to Algeria.

Historically, Ivory Coast are the bosses of this fixture, having won eight of their 13 meetings with just two for Burkina Faso and the rest ending in draws.
