At 35, the AFCON 2013 winner is extending a career that has already taken him across Europe’s top leagues, proving that retirement is not yet on his agenda.

From AFCON hero to Chelsea title winner

Moses was a key figure in Nigeria’s triumphant 2013 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, earning a place in the official Team of the Tournament after a series of standout performances.

That international success was matched at club level, most notably during Chelsea’s Premier League-winning 2016/17 season under Antonio Conte.

Deployed out of position as a right wing-back, Moses became a crucial part of Conte’s system, making 34 appearances and contributing six goals as the Blues stormed to the title.

Across a nine-year association with Chelsea, he also lifted the FA Cup and Europa League, building an impressive trophy cabinet that underlined his importance during one of the club’s most successful modern eras.

A globe-trotting career continues in Kazakhstan

After starting out at Crystal Palace and joining Wigan Athletic in 2010, he went on to experience loan spells with Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce, Inter Milan and Spartak Moscow before making a permanent switch to the Russian club in 2021, where he also won the Russian Cup.

He returned to English football last season with Luton Town, featuring 18 times and scoring once across all competitions.

Now converted into a midfielder, Moses has chosen Kaysar Kyzylorda as the next stop in his long journey, showing his determination to keep competing at a professional level.

For a player who has conquered England, Europe and Africa, Kazakhstan represents another fresh chapter in a remarkable career.
