Ademola Lookman nominated for Italian Football Award

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Forward of the Year award at the Gran Galà del Calcio.

The prestigious Italian football award recognizes the top performers in Serie A.

Lookman's impressive performances for Atalanta last season, particularly his standout displays in the UEFA Europa League, have earned him the well-deserved nomination.

He will compete against fellow Serie A stars Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez, and Rafael Leao for the award.

The 27-year-old scored 17 goals and 10 assists in all competitions last season making him one of the most prolific attackers in Europe. His hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen was a highlight of the season.

Lookman's nomination for the Gran Galà del Calcio award showed the forward growth in Italian football.

His consistent performances for Atalanta have also earned him recognition on the continental stage, with a nomination for the 2024 CAF Men's Player of the Year award.

The Gran Galà del Calcio ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 2nd, where the winners will be announced.
