Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Juan Musso lauded Ademola Lookman's humility and work ethic, qualities which have endeared him to his new teammates and helped him settle quickly at his new club.

Musso was teammates with Lookman for multiple seasons at Atalanta and was in the squad which the Super Eagles ace powered to Europa League triumph before he left for Atletico Madrid.

Hence, he knows, first-hand, the quality, attitude and temperament of the Super Eagles ace, some of which he highlighted after the 28-year-old helped Rojiblancos pummelled Barcelona in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Barcelona.

Lookman scored and assisted, while Musso replaced the ever-present Jan Oblak in goal, as the two former Bergamo-based stars helped Atletico Madrid secure a massive advantage in the two-legged semi-final against Barcelona.

Speaking after the game, Musso, who kept a clean sheet, praised the star of the outing, Lookman. He highlighted Lookman's desirable traits, which he has observed from when they were teammates at Atalanta, expressing elation that the Nigerian star has joined him at Madrid.

"I love that Ademola Lookman is here. I know him as a person: his family, his humility, his work ethic," Musso said. "He helped me win the Europa League; he scored three goals in the final. He's crazy. Having him here is a huge joy, above all because of the person he is."
