2026 HSBC SVNS2: Boost for Shujaa and Lionesses as Tickets Are Sold Out for World Rugby Extravaganza
Organisers have confirmed that all tickets for the upcoming HSBC Division 2 Tournament, scheduled for February 14-15 at Nyayo Stadium, have been completely sold out.
No tickets will be available for purchase at the gate on the days of the event.
The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) announced the sell-out in an official statement, expressing gratitude to the enthusiastic fanbase.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we would like to officially state that we are totally sold out for the inaugural leg of the 2026 HSBC SVNS2. A big thank you to everyone who bought a ticket; words cannot express how grateful we are," the KRU stated.
How Much Were Tickets Going For?
The announcement followed earlier indications of high demand. On Saturday morning, the KRU had already confirmed that tickets for the first day of the competition were gone. KRU Chair Harriet Okach predicted at the time that the remaining tickets for the second day would soon follow suit.
"I highly doubt there will be ticket sales at the gate," Okach had commented. "Even the Day Two tickets that are still available are quite few, and they are also selling fast."
Fans had been purchasing regular tickets for Ksh500 through the official ticketing partner, Tiko Hub. The gate price would have been Ksh750. Group ticket packages were also popular, with a 'Mbogi' ticket for seven people priced at Ksh2,100 and a larger group ticket for 12 costing Ksh3,600. VIP tickets had already sold out earlier in the week.

Okach also assured the public that robust measures are in place to prevent ticket fraud.
"We have absolute confidence that Tiko Hub will ensure there will be no cases of fake tickets being sold to unsuspecting fans," she said as quoted by Capital Sports. "In rugby, we haven't had to deal with this issue and have always made it impossible for people to try and enter the venue with them."
The tournament will feature 12 teams, with six competing in the men's division and six in the women's, including the host nation's Shujaa and Kenya Lionesses. A capacity crowd is expected at the 30,000-seater Nyayo Stadium to cheer on the home teams.
This event is the latest in a series of high-profile rugby competitions held at the venue, which has previously hosted the Safari 7s, the Barthes Cup, and the 2023 World Rugby U20 Trophy.
