In a welcome development just days before Euro 2025 kicks off, Aitana Bonmati has been discharged from the hospital after recovering from viral meningitis, as reported by Sportal.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation announced that Bonmati is expected to rejoin the national team squad "in the coming days" before their departure for Switzerland on Sunday afternoon.

In a social media post, Bonmati thanked everyone for their messages of support, stating: "Fortunately, everything is going well. I hope to be back soon."

Before Bonmati's discharge, Spain's coach, Jorge Vilda, stated: "She is a very important player for us. We will wait for her as long as necessary."
