Shola Shoretire: Nigerian-born star poses with PL 2 Goal of the Season Award

Shoretire was a key player for Manchester United in the age-grade Premier League 2.

The 20-year-old who won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award has another accolade to brag about.

He played a crucial role for Manchester United's youth system as they stayed up in the top tier of the PL 2.

However, his latest accomplishment is winning the PL 2 Goal of the Season award.

The award-winning goal came from Shoretire's incredible finish in a Premier League 2 match at Kingsmeadow on January 12 against Chelsea.

The captain of the Manchester United development squad cut the deficit in half in the 54th minute by swatting the ball past Merrick in the Chelsea goal. At the time, they were behind by two goals.

The goal by Shoretire along with posing with his award went viral on social media.

Shoretire plays for England at the youth level but is still eligible to switch his international allegiance and represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
