Nigerian Nightmare Kamau Usman has suffered yet another loss in the UFC as fans call on him to retire.

Khamzat Chimaev defeated Kamaru Usman by majority decision in the co-main event of UFC 294 on Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, effectively extending his perfect record to 13-0.

In the first few seconds of the fight, Chimaev went full attack with a single leg at Usman.

Chimaev persisted and forced the Nigerian Nightmare to the ground, despite Usman's strong initial defense.

He then took command of the round, staying on Usman's back for the majority of it and making threats to submit.

In the second round, Chimaev chose to hit in a slow kickboxing match instead of pressing the wrestling issue, which resulted in a significantly slower tempo for the fight.

With thirty seconds remaining in the round, he managed to take down Usman, but he did not do much with it.

That made the third and final round intriguing as Usman had a good rally to start.

His momentum was severely disrupted when Chimaev switched up his level and executed a double-leg takedown, even though he maintained distance control and produced decent boxing.

In the last thirty seconds, Usman eventually made his way back to the feet as both men threw in search of a knockout.

Two Judges scored the fight for Chimaev with Juge giving it a draw, so the Swedish fighter to take a majority decision victory against Usman.

Since only the scale can defeat the Dagestani grappler, the victory just helps to solidify Chimaev's fame.

Usman had five straight welterweight title defenses prior to his current three-fight losing record, two of which came against Leon Edwards.

The unexpected loss of Israel Adesanya to Sean Strickland has caused a stir in the middleweight class.

This was to have been Chimaev vs. Paulo Costa, but the Brazilian pulled out with an elbow injury, and Usman agreed to take up the bout with ten days' notice.
