Leicester City have won 10 of their 11 league matches – matching the best-ever start to a Championship season.

Iheanacho and Ndidi bagged a goal and assist as Leicester City overcame third-placed Preston North End on Wednesday night.

For the advancing Foxes, who have now increased the distance to third to 10 points, Kelechi Iheanacho and substitute Jamie Vardy scored either side of the half.

In the 24th minute, Iheanacho's low shot from a tight angle flew through the legs of Stoke goalkeeper Mark Travers and inside the near post.

In the 79th minute, Wilfred Ndidi, who had just taken over for the excellent Cesare Casadei, was able to fix the ball at Vardy's feet after Fatawu slid it into him.

Vardy chose his position quickly and scored his fifth goal of the season across all competitions by passing the ball beyond Travers.

Ndidi and Iheanacho will now go for the international break as they have been called up by Jose Peseiro for the upcoming Super Eagles international friendly against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
