Francisca Ordega: Super Falcons star celebrates final berth with CSKA Moscow

Super Falcons of Nigeria forward Francisca Ordega has taken to social media to celebrate her latest achievement.

The 29-year-old Ordega was again in action for CSKA Moscow women on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Ordega featured for CSKA Moscow in a derby against rivals Lokomotiv Moscow.

The veteran Nigerian forward played a crucial role in the women's Russian Cup semifinal fixture.

Kristina Khorisheva scored in the 17th minute to put Lokomotiv Moscow in front which they took to the halftime break.

However, Iuliia Pleshkova equalised for Ordega's CSKA in the 67th minute.

The game then went to extra-time and was decided on penalties.

Ordega was not among the penalty takers for CSKA Moscow as they won 3-2.

The victory means Ordega and her CSKA Moscow teammates advance to the Russian Cup final.

Ordega took to her official social media platforms to celebrate the victory.

Along with photos from the game was a message that said, "Was a tough one but God came through for us…..NEXT IS FINAL💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 @wfccska… more than a teammmmmmmm."

Ordega, who is missing from the Super Falcons list for the upcoming 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, returns to action when CSKA Moscow takes on  Lokomotiv Moscow after the international break on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
