Super Falcons star Francisca Ordega bags brace for CSKA Moscow against Chertanovo.

Super Falcons of Nigeria star Francisca Ordega is back among the goals.

The 29-year-old forward was in action as CSKA Moscow recorded a comfortable 5-0 victory against rivals Chertanovo in a Russian Women's Football Championship fixture.

At the recently concluded 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Ordega, a Super Falcons of Nigeria veteran, played an in-and-out role for the team led by Randy Waldrum.

She started the opening game against Olympic champions Canada but was an unused substitute in the other two group games against hosts Australia and the Republic of Ireland.

Ordega, however, returned to the pitch for the Super Falcons as they lost on penalties to the Lionesses of England in the round of 16.

Ordega scores for CSKA Moscow against Chertanovo

Ordega was in action for CSKA Moscow in a Russian Supreme Women's Division fixture played on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

The Gboko-born star scored the first goal of the game in the 15th minute as CSKA Moscow went to the halftime break with the lead.

Tatiana Petrova made it two in the 54th minute while Cameroon star Gabriel Ongene scored the third from the penalty spot in the 61st minute.

Ordega got her second of the game in the 65th minute while Yulia Myasnikova added a fifth late on.

The victory means Ordega and her CSKA Moscow side are at the top of the league in Russia after 19 games played.

Now at the top of the league, Ordega returns to action when CSKA Moscow takes on FK Rostov in their next league fixture scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023.
