The NFF administration under Ibrahim Musa Gusau will reach another milestone on Tuesday with the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Players' Hostel and several new training pitches in Abuja.

The 68-room facility, known as the NFF-FIFA Players’ Hostel, is situated at the centre of Package B of the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, nearly directly across from the NFF Secretariat.

This two-wing structure comprises sections A and B, featuring a total of 62 single rooms, four suites, and two executive suites.

The terraces for spectators will contain 1,838 seats and the project, expected to take 24 months, is financed by FIFA, the global governing body of football, via its FIFA Forward 3.0 initiative.

Established in 2016 during Gianni Infantino's first election as FIFA President, the FIFA Forward program is the largest sports development initiative globally.

The main concept consists of three components: augment the global investment in football; realize greater effects through specific, customized initiatives; and establish greater oversight to guarantee transparency, careful management, and effectiveness in football development investments.
