Chiamaka Okwuchukwu joins San Diego Wave: 19-year-old Super Falcons star unveiled by NWSL side
19-year-old Super Falcons of Nigeria star Chiamaka Okwuchukwu joins NWSL side San Diego Wave, unveiled in style with flowers in America.
The youngster signed a two-year contract that will run through the 2026 season with a mutual option for 2027.
This comes after Super Falcons star Deborah Abiodun joined Washington Spirit.

After Emmanuel completes a medical and receives her P1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC), she will be included in the Wave's 2025 roster.
The 22-year-old joins the Wave from ZHFK Lokomotiv Moskva who play in the Russian Women's Football Championship.
She scored one goal, made 20 appearances, and was instrumental in helping them win the Russian Women's Cup.

Favour Emmanuel joins San Diego Wave
At San Diego Wave, Emmanuel will be teammates with 19-year-old Nigerian Chiamaka Okwuchukwu.

Emmanuel played for Bayelsa Queens Football Club in Nigeria's top women's division for two seasons before moving to Russia.
She won the Nigeria Women's Football League Championship and assisted Bayelsa Queens in finishing third in the CAF Women's Champions League.
