Plumptre departed Leicester City after her contract at King Power Stadium expired.

After earning her Human Biology degree from the University of Southern California's USC Trojans, the 25-year-old Plumptre transferred to Leicester City in 2020.
Plumptre then went on to help the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
In a recent interview, Plumptre explained her reason a details for joining Al- Ittihad.

He said, "My team came about and I remember my dad's my agent and he brought up.
"He said a team he didn't he say the name? He just said a team in Saudi Arabia's contacted me.
"I was like, Right, OK, but I said honestly, at the beginning, I was like, But why would I go there when I'm here?
"And I've enjoyed my time at Leicester and everything and And he said, Well, speak to them have, like an hour phone call from the off They probably knew who I was.
'We had, like I said, an hour conversation, head coach, general managers.
"And within that hour, I don't feel like most of the time we didn't even speak about football.

"It was more about who we are as people, the things that we value and we care about.
"And I guess the ambitions that we have as individuals and I felt totally aligned with the people that I was talking to, and I came off that call and I said to my dad, I was like, Yeah, that's where I need to be and I visited and it again just confirmed, like, I'm exactly where I'm meant to be and I actually signed.

Super Falcons star Ashleigh Plumptre made the dreams of a married man come true for his wife.
"I signed here before the World Cup and I didn't really want it to get out, cos I wanted to focus on the World Cup, and my dad was like, Oh, you know, you might get opportunities after the World Cup. Are you sure you wanna sign?
"Before I said, Yeah, cos I know, I know that I'm meant to be here.
)
"It happened very unexpectedly, but also I felt like I was at a point where I knew, like, my journey in football has always been reflective of me as a person, I believe more in in people than I do Individual success.
"I feel like I find the most fulfilment from being a part of something bigger than myself. And I felt that straight away."
Plumptre has been making waves in Saudi Arabia and has rejoined the Super Falcons set up.
