Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Yemi Alade thrilled the fans with her colourful performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was held on Saturday at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The Nigerian star performed alongside other artists from Africa to perform the theme song of the 2023 AFCON, ‘Akwaba,’ which means welcome in the Baoule language in Ivory Coast.

The anthem featured the legendary Ivorian group Magic System and Egyptian singer Mohamed Ramadan.

A dream come true for Yemi Alade
Reacting, the singer confirmed that it was a dream that come true for her.
“Since 2016, I have envisioned performing at the stadium for football ceremonies surrounded by hundreds of dancers and people.
