The rally ace is facing a murder charge following the death of her boyfriend and fellow rally driver, Asad Khan.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have been granted 15 days to file a report on the findings of the case against rally driver Maxine Wahome.

The investigations officer had asked the Milimani Law Courts Senior Principle Magistrate Bernard Ochoi to terminate the miscellaneous application filed in court last year.

Ochoi ruled that the miscellaneous application could only be closed by informing Wahome of the findings.

"The findings must inform this court of the investigations. It will be unfair for the miscellaneous application to be closed without the respondent being informed about the results being conducted against her.

It would be an abuse of court process if the file is closed without the findings no matter what kind of investigations were being conducted," Ochoi said as per The Star.

Her performance at the Safari Rally was more impressive as she had never driven an M-Sport-built Ford Fiesta Rally3 car before the event.
