Arsenal star Kai Havertz and his wife, Sophia, have welcomed their first child.
The 25-year-old Germany international took to Instagram to confirm the birth of their baby boy, sharing a heartfelt image of the couple holding their newborn’s hand.
Havertz captioned the post on Instagram: "Welcome to the world our little boy. We love you so much!"
The announcement received widespread support from fans and teammates.
Arsenal’s official Instagram account, along with teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko, responded with heart emojis, expressing their joy at the news.
Havertz’s former club Bayer Leverkusen also extended their congratulations, commenting: "Congratulations to the entire Havertz family!"
Meanwhile, ex-Chelsea teammate Marcos Alonso added: "Wowww! Congratz!!!" and Chelsea goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli left heart-eye and heart emojis in response to the news.
A love story from 2018 to parenthood
Havertz and Sophia have been in a relationship since 2018.
The couple got engaged in 2023 and tied the knot last July following the Euro 2024.
Their pregnancy announcement in November was met with excitement from their close circle and football community.
At the time, Helene Spilling, partner of Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard, commented: "We can’t wait to meet your little one."
While Bukayo Saka’s girlfriend, Tolami Benson, also expressed her excitement, saying: "SO EXCITED!!!!"
While Havertz and Sophia celebrate their new arrival, the Arsenal forward is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury sustained during the club’s warm-weather training trip to Dubai last month.
