Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he is ready to return to managerial duties as he set eyes on Juventus.

The French man left Real Madrid in 2021 having won 11 titles for the club and has not returned to any management position since his departure.

According to RMC in France, the 50-year-old is prepared to return to management and is aiming for a position at his former team Juventus after being linked with notable jobs with PSG, Chelsea and the French national team.

Zidane career at Real Madrid

Zidane's record at Real Madrid has been tremendous, winning several trophies during his stay. The Frenchman was appointed as Real Madrid's manager in January 2016 after taking charge of the B team.

During his first tenure at Madrid, he won the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Champions League in 2016. In the 2016-2017 season, he won the La Liga, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Spanish Super Cup and in his final season in 2017-18, he lifted the UEFA Champions League.

Zidane also made history for himself by being the only manager to have lifted the UEFA Champions League three times in a row with Real Madrid. He later stepped down as Real Madrid's manager in 2018.

A year later in 2019, he returned as Real Madrid Manager and won another La Liga and a Supercopa de España title before finally saying his goodbye to the Bernabeu in 2021.

Zidane being touted by Europe top clubs

Zidane's name has been connected to some of Europe's top jobs during his time off, including a potential move to Premier League side Chelsea, but it seems he prefers a move to Italy as his next step in management.

Recent reports claim that the Frenchman favours a move to his old club Juventus. The Old Lady’s recently had their 15 points reduction reversed and have now moved up to the Champions League spot which is the third position on the league table.

If Zidane is to be appointed by Juventus, they will need to let go of their current manager Massimiliano Allegri which would cost the club around £18 million which is a financial blow that the club may not be willing to take at this stage.

The Italian team has advanced to the semifinals of the Europa League, where they will face Sevilla later this month.
