Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino have parted company despite the Argentine guiding the Blues to a sixth-place finish in the league.

Shocking news coming out of Stamford Bridge has confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino has left his position as Head coach of the West London club.

Pulse Sport earlier reported that Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino mutually agreed to part ways, with the Argentine coach ending his tenure after just one season of his original two-year contract.

The decision is a rather strange one, seeing that only two days ago, Pochettino steered Chelsea to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League despite enduring an injury-ravished season.

Pochettino joins a long list of Chelsea bosses that have been fired in the recent past - Graham Potter, Thomas Tuchel, Frank Lampard, and Antonio Conte.

What went wrong for Pochettino at Chelsea

Despite Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali's significant investment and ambitious plans for the club, results during the 2023/2024 season failed to reflect this commitment.

This article reflects on some of the most significant defeats suffered by Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino and might have influenced the club's decision to part ways with the former Tottenham boss.
