Manchester United youngster Zidane Iqbal will leave the club after 15 years to join Dutch side Utrecht after both clubs agreed on a deal.

Manchester United midfielder Zidane Iqbal has penned an emotional letter to the club and its fans after his departure from the Reds was confirmed.

Zidane will leave United for Dutch side FC Utrecht after 15 years at the club.

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, United and Utrecht had agreed to a 1 million euro deal that will see the 20-year-old swap England for the Netherlands this summer.

The highly-rated midfielder has now reacted to his departure, days after the deal was confirmed.

According to the youngster, United has been his home since he was five and he is grateful to the club for developing him and letting him live the dream at Old Trafford and will forever remember his time at the club.

“Emotions often cannot be expressed in words, however, i will try my best,” Zidane said in a post on his social media page.

“United has been my home since i was five years old, this club has developed me into the person that i am today.”

“I have had the opportunity to play with so many teammates that i will always call friends and worked with coaches who always supported me in so many different ways.”

“There are too many people to thank, i will never forget standing on the touchline at OT waiting to come on for my debut. The feeling will live with me forever.”

On the fans, the youngster thanked them for their support, adding that he will always be a United fan.

According to David Ornstein as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, the Red Devils have accepted the offer from the Cathedral citizens for their highly-rated youngster.

Utrecht, according to the report, will pay €1 million for the player and will give up a significant portion of future transfer fees for the player.

Zidane has completed his medicals with the club and is set to join on a four-year deal, running until 2027.
